HANCOCK COUNTY, OHIO (WLIO) - An opportunity for kids to learn about animal teeth.
They got to learn all about the different eating habits of animals and how their teeth help with breaking down their food.
The Hancock County Park District held a "Chomp" program for kids ages 4 to 5. They got to learn all about the different eating habits of animals and how their teeth help with breaking down their food. With a variety of animal skulls, the children got a close-up look at how the teeth of each species differ.
"I just want, even if it's the smallest things, just learning something new. Maybe something bigger, changing how they see nature or how they want to go out and enjoy it. Any little thing for me. It makes my day," says Mac Teeple, program specialist for Hancock Park District.
Hancock Park District's next event is "Snow Goggles." That is on Monday, December 30th, at Oakwoods Nature Preserve.
