SHAWNEE TOWNSHIP, OH (WLIO) - The associates of a Shawnee funeral home got dressed up in fall outfits and Halloween costumes for their 2nd annual Trunk or Treat.
Chiles-Laman Funeral Home and Cremation Services welcomed area kids to come out for free candy, apple cider, and popcorn. Staff members and their families went all out for the trick-or-treaters, many of them even decorating their cars. The event is a fun way for Chiles-Laman to give back to their community, and the kids enjoy getting another chance to show off their costumes.
"We love just seeing all of the kids. We love seeing all of their costumes and their smiles and everything like that. It's just good to see the people out and about in the community," said funeral director Aby Daffner.
Daffner adds that the trunk or treat is also a good way for families to get to know the funeral home's staff in a friendly, upbeat, setting.
