New retail could be coming to Lima after the sale of a major retail space in the city.
Clocktower Plaza on Cable Road was purchased last week by a Youngstown-based company.
The Plaza will now be managed by Clocktower Plaza LLC, a sister company of CTW Development Corp. The company called the property "a prime location," with nearly 238,000 square feet, including the former Walmart building.
No official timeline yet on moving forward, but they will start with minor improvements, like parking lot paving, painting, and landscaping in the next few months. Company officials say only 25 percent of the plaza is now occupied, and hope to change that. They say they are talking to a couple of retailers but are not ready to release any details on that just yet. They say they are optimistic about the future of Clocktower Plaza.
Clocktower Plaza LLC is working with Toledo Port Authority to bring an energy district to the city which they say will be beneficial to other businesses as well. Yocum Realty's Greg Butcher will be in charge of leasing the spaces.
