WASHINGTON D.C. (WLIO) - Ohio's 5th District Congressman continues to make sure that Northwest Ohio and the rest of the nation stay connected through broadband access.
As a member of the Energy and Commerce Communications and Technology Subcommittee, Bob Latta has worked to ensure internet connectivity is more reliable, efficient, and safe from outside threats. Latta introduced the Spectrum Innovation Act, which passed the U.S. House last year. The bill would benefit consumers by providing more reliable connections with faster speeds and more responsive networks. It would also secure our telecommunication networks against domestic and foreign enemies. The 5th District Congressman wants to continue those efforts in this new legislative session.
"I will be working on making sure that we have that broadband access," says U.S. Representative Bob Latta, (R) Ohio's 5th District. "Making sure that we have the spectrum availability that we have to have to make sure that we can get 5G across this country."
Latta is also looking at a bill regarding autonomous vehicles for this new session, to help give the United States the edge over China in this growing field.
