Delphos Optimists hold annual Easter Egg Hunt

Families in Delphos were collecting as many eggs as possible in Stadium Park Saturday afternoon.

The Delphos Egg Hunt is put on by the Delphos Optimist Club every year.  The hundreds of eggs were scattered into four different age groups across one of the park's field for the kids to participate in, with candy and gift cards inside the eggs.  Around 250 kids attended this year's egg hunt, and members of the Optimist Club are just happy to see families having fun together.

"Just today I’ve seen people really that are from a pretty good distance out of town come home for the holiday, and they come out and they do the hunt before Easter, it’s just another family event that they can get together and have fun," said Jason Schnipke, vice president of the Delphos Optimist Club.

Those with the Optimists say that community businesses and organizations help to fund the egg hunt every year.
