Election Day lunches have been a staple for many churches for decades as a place to go before or after you cast your vote.
St. Mark's United Methodist Church holding their annual meal along with the treats and treasure bazaar. Those in attendance were able to get a hot homemade meal and great deals on a variety of items for sale. Pastor Barbara Dafler says it’s more than just a fundraiser. It’s a gathering of people from both sides of the aisle on Election Day where she hasn’t heard any political talk, just friends socializing.
Proceeds from today's event go right back into the church for operations.
