Elida Schools has finalized and selected a new superintendent.
Elida's Board of Education met to announce that Joel Mengerink, who was most recently the High School Principal and Superintendent at Continental Local Schools, has been appointed to be the new superintendent of their school system.
Mengerink openly talked with faculty that were in attendance and expressed how thrilled he was to have the opportunity to be a stability factor in the Elida community.
Mengerink's first day on the job will come this summer and he will be contracted in Elida for three years.
