The Allen County Coroner has not released the name of a woman killed in a mobile home fire Tuesday morning.
The Perry Township Fire Department responded to a fire at 116 Colony Trail. There is no video of the trailer as the mobile home park is private property and our crew was asked to leave. According to Perry Fire Chief Justin Roberts, firefighters entered the burning trailer and found a deceased adult female in the rear of the trailer. He says the investigation has led them to the living room as the origin of the fire.
Perry Fire Chief Justin Roberts says, “So. the origin of the fire we look for the most burnt, and usually there’s a v-pattern that leads us back to the fire. Due to the condition of the home, led us back to the living room and it was in around that reclining chair there was the most burn, most debris, and after speaking with the husband that’s where we ultimately came up with an origin oof where the fire is but we were unable to find a cause.”
Perry was assisted by Bath and Westminster Fire Departments. The blaze took about an hour to get under control with crews remaining on the scene for 5 hours.
