Officer Dominic "Dom" Francis will be laid to rest Friday in Clymer Cemetery in Hancock County, and before that thousands of people are expected to say goodbye to him during his funeral service at Bluffton University at 11 a.m.
Along with being a police officer in Bluffton, he was a volunteer firefighter for the Southwestern Hancock Joint Fire District for many years. Francis was also a staple at his alma mater Cory-Rawson school district, as a coach for strength and conditioning, football, and wrestling. He was also a bus driver and even a substitute teacher during the pandemic. He touched many lives, and if you would like to watch his funeral, we will be streaming it live on our Facebook page.
