LIMA, OH (WLIO) - The West Ohio Food Bank is asking everyone to go orange this Friday to bring awareness to hunger.
Orange is the color of hunger relief and hunger awareness. September is Hunger Action Month and Friday has been set aside as Hunger Action Day for a collective effort to be aware of the hunger issue many people do face in our area.
"We urge people to get out and visit some of our pantries. Ask them if they need help or assistance in volunteer help," said Jason Aldrich, communications and PR manager at West Ohio Food Bank. "You can always go to our website, wofb.org and find out information that way. Again, we're always constantly looking for people to volunteer and help us out."
Aldrich says they will also accept monetary donations for the fight to stop hunger.
