FINDLAY, Ohio (WLIO) -After 36 years in law enforcement, the Police Chief of Findlay is retiring.
Chief James Mathias has been serving 31 years with the city of Findlay, joining in 1995. Mathias served a number of leadership roles including Captain and Special Services Lieutenant.
Through prioritizing traffic safety, he implemented department-wide body cameras, making Findlay the first in Ohio to adopt the TRULEO software. This software made it possible to review body camera footage, providing educational lessons for the department.
The City of Findlay extends its sincere gratitude to Chief James Mathias for his decades of service and dedication to the safety and well-being of the community.
