Heir Force executive director Dr. Willie Heggins understands that for some students, learning in an interactive experiment and not just through a textbook can be more effective.

"When you think about the whole learning process, everybody learns differently. Some people have the ability to retain information from just straight memorization, but sometimes people have to actually apply it in practice. It also allows them to work in teams. It helps foster collaboration, and the other part is we just want the experimental learning to be exciting for them," said Dr. Willie Heggins, executive director of Heir Force Community School.
