LIMA, OH (WLIO) - Would you like to have some fun on Saturday as you raise money to help say thank you to local teachers?
The Teachers Appreciation Banquet will be holding a bowling fundraiser this Saturday from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at Westgate Entertainment Center at 721 N Cable Rd, Lima, OH 45805.
For $30, you can reserve a lane for six people, and the money raised will help put on the banquet, which organizers started to honor the educators who make a difference in their students' lives.
"As I first moved back to Lima, I moved back with my children and the teachers and the mentors, and the coaches that were so inspirational for my children, and it seemed like we didn't miss a beat. A lot of times that could happen with children when you switch schools and different things of that nature. But everyone here was so helpful, and I wanted to give back to those individuals," says Councilman Thomas Jones.
