High school students with an interest in engineering discover what's available at OSU Lima

Ohio State Lima held an Engineering Discovery Day at the Engineering Education and Manufacturing Center. Those visiting heard from industry professional about the field and from engineering students about the education they are getting at Ohio State Lima. The Bachelor of Science and Engineering Technology Program is relatively new to Lima, and it will give graduates a good start to a good career or to further their education at the main campus.

"It's an engineering technology degree in the sector of manufacturing. So, these students get like a business twinge to their engineering technology degree. So, that way they are able to manage groups of engineers at the end of it," says Emma Wurst, Admissions Counselor, OSU Lima. "They can have confidence in the more management, like business part, of operations and manufacturing. So, these engineers are not only well equipped manufacturing engineers and engineering technology, but they are well equipped to managed group of engineers as well."

Lima is one of four Ohio State regional campuses to have this degree program that works with local industries to fill the needs of their workforce.
