LIMA, Ohio — Hundreds of dogs and their owners are showing off their skills this weekend at the Lima Kennel Club.

The West Ohio Summer Cluster Dog Show is underway, bringing in dogs and handlers from across the country. More than 500 dogs were entered on Friday, and organizers expect close to 800 by the end of the weekend.

“I’m from Michigan — it was about a four-hour drive. I’ve been here before, I love this venue, and I plan to come back,” said Micaela Kenyon, who has shown dogs for seven years. “This is my dream. This is what I’ve dedicated my life to. I couldn’t imagine doing anything else.”

Organizers encourage the public to attend. The show is free and runs through the weekend.
