Judge grants request after Kenyada Jackson asks for second mental health evaluation

ALLEN COUNTY, OH (WLIO) - An Allen County woman who was found not guilty by reason of insanity for a 2011 murder, is asking the judge for a second mental health evaluation.

Kenyada Jackson has been in treatment for mental illness since she was 19 years old at Northwest Ohio Psychiatric Hospital. She has been getting regular evaluations from the hospital that are reviewed by Allen County judges. However today(11/13/23), she asked the judge for an independent evaluation of her current mental state to determine her further treatment and Judge Jeffrey Reed approved her request.

In 2011, Jackson was found not guilty by reason of insanity on 5 charges including aggravated murder and abuse of a corpse. She was charged in the stabbing death of her 4-year-old sister and the attempted murder of her mother.
