Leadership changes for Greater Lima Region and Allen Economic Development Group

ALLEN COUNTY, OH (WLIO) - Economic development can be a tricky and trying business, as it takes time to get the right fit.

To improve the way they do business, the Allen Economic Development Group and the Greater Lima Region are doing some restructuring. Allen Economic Development Group executive director Dave Stratton is moving into the lead role of the Greater Lima Region, and Cindy Leis is taking the helm of Allen Economic Development Group. 

The two entities will be working side by side to attract new business and to maintain and grow existing business. AEDG is the tactical side of the process, making sure there is the infrastructure in place for new economic growth.

"We also want to focus on site preparedness. We need to be ready here locally for sites for when we have attraction sites come our way. We on a daily basis get inquiries about coming to Lima Allen County and wanting to know what kind of buildings and sites we have available," said Cindy Leis, president and CEO of Allen Economic Development Group.

The Greater Lima Region has been a silent partner in economic development but is now going to be focused on bringing a spotlight on what Lima and the surrounding region can offer prospective businesses looking to locate in Lima Allen County.

"Greater Lima Region is focused on being a strategic capital investment organization that can help with resources for Allen Economic Development Group and for other projects," stated Dave Stratton, president and CEO of Greater Lima Region.

Both say there are a handful of what they call "generational" projects that are in the works that will be huge assets to Lima Allen County.
