A letter of agreement between Poland and the United States signed on Tuesday will assure several years of work for the Joint Systems Manufacturing Center.
Taskforce Lima heard an update from officials at the tank plant on the order of 250 Abrams tanks. The plant is currently working on contracts with the U.S. Military and Kuwait. The additional 250 tanks will allow the JSMC to start what is called a heel-to-toe production line.
Hank Kennedy is the Director of Plant Operations for General Dynamics Land Systems and says, “It’s a big order and what it does is allows us to stabilize our workforce and keep things running smoothly. We can plan better, so it’s all good news for JSMC.”
The JSMC is currently looking for welders and engineers for their workforce.
