LIMA, OHIO (WLIO) - With the biggest shopping weekend of the year coming this weekend, the Lima/Allen County Chamber of Commerce is asking you to shop small.
Lima Allen County has many locally owned businesses that can offer unique gifts for people on your shopping list.
Black Friday will be here soon with Small Business Saturday on its heels, so why not keep your dollars local? Lima Allen County has many locally owned businesses that can offer unique gifts for people on your shopping list. American Express says about 67 cents of each dollar spent at a local business stays local.
"These small businesses are so keen to our community," said Jed Metzger, president and CEO of the Lima/Allen County Chamber of Commerce. "They fund the baseball teams and the soccer teams and get involved with community projects, so if we help them, they help us. The money just circulates around."
The chamber is highlighting local small businesses on their Facebook page, and you can see other member small businesses on their website.
