Lima Bridal Show helps brides plan their big day

The snowy weather didn't stop these brides from trying to make their special day even more perfect.

"They can look at everything and they can see everything. There's so many different vendors and people. Oh my gosh," Sue Kaseman, the owner of Forche's in Lima, said.
And she was right. Dresses. Centerpieces. Table sets, you name it. The annual Lima bride expo attracted hundreds of vendors, families and brides-to-be.
"As far as center pieces, something like that actually, that's what we've gone with. Big flowers, lots of candles," Jodie Hegemier, a bride-to-be, said.
Jodie Hegemier was just one of the many brides planning for the big day and in her case just making some final touches.
"We pretty much have everything already set up, but I'm just looking for other ideas for decorating, any side things that we need," Hegemier said.
One of the big trends this year is lace, lace and more lace. Pastels and beading are also popular among the brides.
"They're into neutral colors. They're doing a palette of like grays and soft pinks and muted colors," Pam Brown, owner of Sister's Bridal Boutique, said. "But more girls are definitely wanting the straps, the keyhole backs, hot lace all the way through, everybody wants the lace."
Jodie just picked up her dress last week and she seems to be right on point with the recent trends.
"Lace, fitted, it has like half sleeves on it and then like an open back. Ivory in color," Hegemier said.
And when asked about her wedding coming up in October she said..
"I'm definitely excited. I'm really looking forward to it."
