More than a dozen teachers were recognized for their longevity with Lima City Schools.
Staff honored those teachers who have worked 20, 25, and 35 years with the school district.
Jill Luke, Deborah Hahn, Beth Bartels, Amy Boley, Rochelle Penn, Beth Roush, Kristen Lee and Kara Place have were recognized for 25 years.
David Haberman, Alaina Hermon, Kimberly Myers, Katherine Lovett, James Allen and Carrie Woodruff were recognized for 20 years.Â
This recognition is a part of the years of service celebration which was held at Lima North Middle School. One of the teachers recognized says the past 25 years with Lima City Schools has been such a great experience.
"I love working for the Lima City Schools," said Beth Roush, South Science and Technology Magnet teacher. "I love my kids and they are wonderful and it's amazing how years I've been here and how many kids that I've taught over the years and have gone on to do great wonderful things."
"We feel it's very important that we take the time to honor their service, their continued commitment to the Lima City Schools and the children in Lima City Schools, year after year, day after day," said Jill Ackerman, Lima City Schools superintendent.
Fourteen teachers were recognized at Monday evening's ceremony.
