"Depending on your experience we have products with like very little amount of THC and someone who's a more avid user we have products with a larger amount of THC. We have other products with CBD, CBG. There's lots of little different cannabinoids in cannabis. They all do different things. So, some products may help with relief of inflammation and things like that. So, really depending on your experience level, you can come in here and never have used it before and not have to worry about something that would be overwhelming," explained Alex Stinebaugh, assistant general manager of Backroad Wellness.
Backroad Wellness was one of 98 dispensaries that the state approved to be able to sell recreational marijuana starting August 6, 2024.
Stinebaugh says they are selling the same products they did with the non-medical marijuana but consumers can now smoke it. He hopes Backroad Wellness can fill that niche for people around the region.
"As far as the rec market goes there is way more potential here. There's been a lot of people who have been traveling up north that we've been waiting to meet. So, it's a really big day as far as overall business potential. We're really excited to see where this goes for us and the community," added Stinebaugh.
