For over 30 years, the club has teamed up with Freedom Elementary to give Christmas presents to the young students. The students got books, treats and toys to play with. But also joining the team this year, is Nutrien who helped provide some clothing items like, hats, gloves, and socks for the kids. In all the group handed out presents to around 240 students. While the kids were excited about the gifts, the club members are equally excited about doing it.

“It is an amazing experience. The joy on their faces, their smiles the excitement to see Santa,” says Sarah Stevenson, the President of the Lima Exchange Club. “Everything we do all year long to raise money and be a part of our community is all worth it when you see the smiles on these kids’ faces.”

Stevenson says this is one of the Exchange Club’s favorite projects and the items that they give are donated by local businesses or they buy them themselves.
