LIMA, Ohio (WLIO) — Visitors attending downtown Lima’s kickoff of Third Thursday received a sneak peek at some of this year’s vendors for the Lima Farmers Market ahead of its official opening later this month.

The Lima Farmers Market will officially begin its season on Saturday, May 30, at the University of Northwestern Ohio’s Racers Station off Cable Road. This marks the third year the market has been held at UNOH, and organizers say the location has proven to be a successful fit for both vendors and visitors.

Shoppers will have the opportunity to purchase fresh fruits, vegetables and baked goods, along with a variety of handmade and locally produced items.

“A lot of other hand crafted local products. The market also includes live music, food trucks, and a lot of kids and family activities for the entire family to come out and enjoy,” said Lima Farmers Market Manager Madelyn Downing.

The farmers market will run every Saturday from May 30 through Sept. 26 from 9 a.m. to noon. A full schedule is available on the market’s Facebook page.
