December 3, 2024, Press Release from Lima Memorial Health System: The Lima Memorial Health System family has come together once again in the spirit of Great Care, adopting 74 local senior citizens to brighten their holiday season.
“It’s heartwarming to witness the generosity of our associates year after year as they come together to support local Senior Angels,” shared Jessica Eutsler, Volunteer & Gift Shop Coordinator at LMHS. “This partnership with the Area Agency on Aging 3 allows us to bring comfort and joy to seniors in our community who might otherwise go without.”
For more than 15 years, Lima Memorial has partnered with the Area Agency on Aging 3 to host a Senior Angel Tree, extending its care and compassion beyond the hospital walls. Many seniors living on limited means and without family support include basic necessities on their holiday wish lists, such as hygiene products, cleaning supplies, pet treats and grocery gift cards. This program ensures their needs are met and their holidays are filled with warmth and kindness.
On Tuesday, December 10, at 10:30 a.m., hundreds of gifts will be loaded into Clymer Medical Transport vehicles by members of the Lima Memorial Leadership team at the entrance of Lima Memorial’s Welcome Center. This act of giving showcases the commitment of Lima Memorial to not only deliver exceptional care but also uplift the community it serves.
