Lima Salvation Army Welcomes Cadets in Training

The Salvation Army's goal is "to do the most good" and give service to those of all ages, races, creeds and lifestyles. The organization can't run without those who are dedicated to helping the community through Christ. The Lima Salvation Army is welcoming cadets in training to the community.

In order to become a Salvation Army Officer or Pastor, individuals enroll in a two year program and get the opportunity to work with several different communities. These cadets in training from New York are working on their spring assignment right here in Lima. Lima Pastor Deb Stacy says it's an opportunity to reach out and touch a life. One of the cadets Michelle Reece says she is part of the program because she was called into ministry. The cadets in training will be in Lima for one week tutoring and spending time with the local youth as well as spreading the word of God.

The Salvation Army strives each day to be present to those in the community who need financial, emotional, and spiritual support.
