The show "Korngold and Hollywood Sound" entertained symphony fans with recognizable tunes from hit films like The Godfather and Psycho. Closing the show was Grammy-winning violinist Charles Yang performing Korngold's Violin Concerto. Movie scores are always popular with audiences because of the nostalgia and the powerful emotions they evoke in film.

"It really sets the tone. I mean if you don't have the music, if you put it on mute or you watch one of those YouTube videos that takes the music out, it's just so stale. And you don't feel it in the same way, it doesn't move you because the music isn't there to kind of guide your emotions and to influence you," said the executive director of the Lima Symphony, Elizabeth Brown-Ellis.

Their next concert will be held on November 4th, featuring the work of Tchaikovsky.
