LIMA, OH (WLIO) - Lima Memorial Health System reached out to area residents to help them find the resources for a healthier life.
Residents were able to go table to table to keep their health on track. They could get blood pressure checks along with nutritional information and other health-related services. Representatives from Lima Memorial Health System say it is important for them to reach out to the community.
"We are just looking to get out there to that population of people that have a little bit more trouble getting to the hospital and getting the services that they need. So we want to bring those services to them," explained Tiffany Ward, DEI manager at Lima Memorial.
"A lot of our residents still struggling to get out to find help, information, or even information from other resources in the community. So if we can get them here from time to time that helps the residents out a lot. Especially the ones who struggle with getting out," said John Gonzales, services coordinator at Lima Towers.
Gonzales says they are just getting back into the swing of things since the pandemic and hope to get more events back in-house at the Lima Towers for their residents.
