Lima's Bradfield Center opens doors for Boys & Girls Club

Today marked the first day of orientation for parents interested in getting their children involved in the organization that has dedicated itself for over 165 years to inspiring young people to become leaders.

LIMA (WLIO) - A project that took more than nine months to fully come together has finally arrived for young people within the Lima community, as the Boys & Girls Club is coming to Lima exclusively at the Bradfield Center.

Today marked the first day of orientation for parents interested in getting their children involved in the organization that has dedicated itself for over 165 years to inspiring young people to become leaders.

The Bradfield Center's legacy and its connection to youth made it the ideal spot to partner with the organization.

"The feedback we're getting is excellent from the state, our house, and all the way to our local politicians. Everyone is on the same page. I think it's going to be great for Lima. We have a partnership with the schools in helping us transport the kids in. As a whole, the community is going to benefit because of the program the Boys & Girls Club has, and I think it's going to change the lives of a lot of our young kids in our area," added Chris Jackson, Executive Director for the Boys & Girls Club at the Bradfield Center.
