LIMA, Ohio (WLIO) — The Center for Peace and Reconciliation is hosting a special presentation in honor of Earth Day, focused on simple, everyday actions people can take to care for the planet.

Lima Area Earth Day Celebration Chair Rae Neal, an environmental activist, will lead a discussion on practical ways individuals can become better stewards of the environment. Neal emphasized that small, personal changes can have a meaningful impact.

“Taking our bags to the grocery store, conserving energy, turning lights off, not leaving things plugged in — just personal actions and ways that we can change our own house to really be more sustainable,” Neal said.

The event will also feature “Rainbow Eagle,” a revered storyteller and teacher of the Okla-Choctaw Nation, who has traveled the world sharing Native American traditions and perspectives on caring for the Earth.

The presentation will take place Tuesday, April 14, at 7 p.m. at the Center for Peace and Reconciliation, 129 S. Pierce St. The event is free and open to the public.
