Local hospitals got a bomb threat email on Tuesday, but nothing suspicious was found

FINDLAY, OH (WLIO) - Some Ohio Hospitals were victims of a swatting email that claimed that explosives were in their buildings. Blanchard Valley Hospital was one of the medical centers to get the email Tuesday. According to the Findlay Police, the email was vague but stated that there were explosives located in the building. The police and Findlay firefighters, Hancock County Deputies, hospital security, and the CSX Police bomb detection K9 searched the hospital inside and out and didn’t find anything suspicious. Other hospitals got the swatting email.  Swatting is when a fake threat is called to draw law enforcement to a certain location. Earlier this month, schools around the country, including many locally, got swatting emails claiming a threat. The FBI called the threat not credible.
