A Colorado-based ski resort company plans to take over Mad River Mountain.
Vail Resorts will purchase Peak Resorts, who currently own Mad River Mountain, as part of a deal set to close this fall. In total, Vail Resorts will purchase 17 ski resorts owned by Peak Resorts. These will be included in the Vail's Epic Season Pass for the 2019 and 2020 season. Vail plans on investing 15 million dollars to update and improve all of the resorts over the next two years.
