April 15, 2024, Press Release from the Delphos Police Department: The Delphos Police Department received 290 calls for service in the month of March. The following is a partial list of calls handled for the month of March and do not include traffic citations, crashes, ect.

The police department has a large number of bicycles that have been located or turned in. If you are missing a bicycle, please come to the police department and describe the bicycle you are missing, and we will get it back to you.

On 3-1-2024 officers located and arrested a male, Adam Purdy of Delphos, who had an active warrant. Purdy was transported to the Van Wert County Jail.

On 3-2-2024 a female wished to file a report on an ex-boyfriend whom she stated is now distributing an inappropriate video of her on the internet.

On 3-2-2024 officers took a report from a female in the 400 block of N. Bredeick St. The female reported that an unknown person had gotten into her vehicle but nothing appeared to be missing.

On 3-3-2024 officers received a complaint of loud music in the 700 block of E. 2nd St.

On 3-3-2024 officers were sent to the 200 block of W. Clime St, to investigate a female removing property from a residence that she does not own. The issue was found to be civil.

On 3-4-2024 a male called from the 800 block of S. Main St, to report that he is being harassed online by his grandchild’s father.

On 3-4-2024 officers were dispatched to the 1200 block of Carolyn Ave. for a dog bite complaint. The call was followed up on by the Dog Warden.

On 3-5-2024 officers responded to a business in the 200 block of WE. 5th St, for an unwanted guest.

On 3-5-2024 officers were dispatched to the 800 block of Skinner St, for a Domestic Disturbance. A male there, Jesse Dodrill, was placed under arrest for Persistent Disorderly Conduct.

On 3-5-2024 a male contacted the police department to file a Theft report. The male believed diesel fuel was being stolen from his semi-trailer.

On 3-6-2024 a male came to the police department to report items missing from his apartment.

On 3-7-2024 officers were sent to a business on N. State St, for a female causing a disturbance with customers.

On 3-7-2024 officers were dispatched to the 24000 block of Lincoln Highway for a Domestic Dispute. Officers found probable cause to arrest a male, Jack Lane of Delphos for Domestic Violence. Lane had left the residence, but a warrant was issued, and he was later arrested without incident.

On 3-8-2024 officers were sent to the 800 block of Moening St, for a loud music complaint.

On 3-8-2024 officers were dispatched to the 500 block of Toomey Ave. for a fight involving three males.

On 3-8-2024 officers responded to the 200 block of W. Clime St, for a Domestic Dispute between a female and her adult son.

On 3-9-2024 officers were dispatched to the 800 block of Skinner St, for an altercation.

On 3-10-2024 officers were sent to the 500 block of Moening Ave. for a loud music complaint.

On 3-11-2024 officers were sent to a business on Moxie Lane for a suspicious female acting strangely.

On 3-11-2024 a male called the police department from the 24000 block of Lincoln Highway to report receiving a threat from another male.

On 3-13-2024 a female called the police department to report receiving unwanted messages from the father of her child.

On 3-13-2024 an employee at a business in the 1800 block of E. 5th St, called in reference to a male in their parking lot asking customers for a ride.

On 3-13-2024 officers spoke with a male in the 300 block of W. 1st St, who reported two suspicious males, claiming to be salesmen, coming to his residence.

On 3-15-2024 officers were sent to the 100 block of W. Clime St, for an altercation. Officers spoke with all parties at the residence and found that a male caused a disturbance and was threatening to harm himself. The male was transported to the hospital for mental health evaluation.

On 3-16-2024 officers were dispatched to the 200 block of W. Clime St, for a Domestic Disturbance. Officers investigated the incident and found probable cause to arrest a female, Kianna Mathison of Delphos, for Domestic Violence.

On 3-17-2024 officers spoke with a female who reported being assaulted at an establishment in the 100 block of E. 2nd St.

On 3-17-2024 officers responded to the 800 block of Skinner St, for an unwanted guest complaint.

On 3-18-2024 a male called the police department to report that a previous friend was at his residence that was refusing to leave.

On 3-19-2024 a male called the police department to report a company attempting to repossess his vehicle. Officers responded and stood by to prevent further altercation while the vehicle was repossessed.

On 3-20-2024 officers were asked to perform a well being check on a female in the 800 block of E. 3rd St.

On 3-21-2024 a female called the police department to report that her son was being unruly and wished for an officer to speak with him.,

On 3-21-2024 officers spoke with a female and her parents n the 900 block of E. 2nd St, in reference to a child custody dispute.

On 3-22-2024 a female called the police department to report that she was awoken by someone pounding on her window in the 800 block of N. Washington St.

On 3-22-2024 officers were dispatched to the 300 block of S. Cass St, for a Domestic Disturbance.

On 3-22-2024 officers were sent to the 1300 block of N. Main St, after a male called in reference to his teenage children being unruly and disruptive in the home.

On 3-23-2024 officers took a report from a female in the 1000 block of Lima Ave, who stated that someone stole and item from her vehicle.

On 3-23-2024 officers spoke with a second person reporting that her vehicle was entered, but nothing was missing.

On 3-23-2024 a female called the police department to report that her daughter is receiving threatening text messages from an unknown number.

On 3-23-2024 officers were sent to the 400 block of W. 4th St, for a loud music complaint.

On 3-24-2024 a female called and requested officers to meet her at her residence in the 600 block of Dayton St. The female believed her ex-boyfriend may be at the residence removing items.

On 3-25-2024 officers spoke with a male who reported that his neighbor’s were banging on the shared wall and harassing him.

On 3-25-2024 officers received a call from a female who found a small child wandering in the roadway in the 100 block of N. Canal St.

On 3-25-2025 a female came to the police department stating that her neighbor is threatening her and requesting information on obtaining a protection order.

On 3-25-2024 officers received a call of a female down, along the roadway, possibly overdosing. Officers located the female who was conscious and alert. The female, Daphne Whitaker of Delphos, was issued a summons for Disorderly Conduct.

On 3-26-2024 officers were dispatched to the 1100 block of N. Main St, for a Domestic Disturbance involving a female and her adult daughter.

On 3-27-2024 a male called the police department after seeing a juvenile on his property who he believed was trying to enter his garage. Video surveillance showed the juvenile near the garage, but he was not trying to enter.

On 3-28-2024 an employee called from a business in the 1000 block of Elida Ave. reporting three juveniles refusing to leave the parking lot and creating a disturbance.

On 3-28-2024 a female contacted the police department to report that she is being harassed by an ex-boyfriend on social media.

On 3-29-2024 a male called from the 600 block of W. 1st St, to report that three other males were in route to his residence to assault him.

On 3-30-2024 a female called from the 1100 block of Carolyn Dr, to report that she received a letter in the mail that she believes is a scam.

On 3-30-2024 a male called the police department to report that someone banged on his front door in the 900 block of N. Jefferson St. No one was at the door when he checked.

On 3-31-2024 officers were dispatched to a residence in the 600 block of N. Pierce St, after a female called requesting officers. The female’s ex-boyfriend had been at the residence but left.

On 3-31-2024 officers were made aware of the location of a runaway juvenile who was reported missing from Lima. The female was located and transported back to Lima.
