CELINA, Ohio (WLIO) — A Mercer County man was arrested during a drug enforcement detail on Tuesday.
Jeremiah Williams, 43, has been charged with felony possession of methamphetamine following an interdiction detail conducted by Mercer County sheriff’s deputies and the Grand Lake Task Force.
During the detail, authorities made eight traffic stops, issuing five citations and five warnings.
During one of the traffic stops, they got information to get a search warrant for Williams’ home on Wietz Road.
When law enforcement executed the search warrant, they found drugs and drug paraphernalia.
The investigation is ongoing.

Mercer County Sheriff Doug Timmerman reports that his office conducted an interdiction detail on June 11th, 2025 in conjunction with members of the Grand Lake Drug Task Force. During the detail, eight (8) traffic stops were made, with five (5) citations and five (5) warnings issued.
During one of the traffic stops, information was obtained which led to the application of a search warrant for a residence located at 8941 Weitz Road, in Hopewell Township. Several items of drug and drug paraphernalia were located at the residence. Arrested was Jeremiah Williams (43) of the Weitz Rd address. He was booked into the Mercer County Jail for Felony Possession of Methamphetamine.
The Mercer County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by members of the Grand Lake Drug Task Force, Prosecutor Erin Minor and Celina Municipal Court Judge Kathryn Speelman.
