A Montezuma man is in custody following a hit-skip accident in Celina on Monday afternoon. The Celina Police Department posted a video of the accident on their Facebook page, and we're going to warn you that this could be disturbing to some viewers.
The incident happened just before 1 p.m. Monday, 70-year-old James Farmer of Celina was crossing Logan Street at Main Street when a white pick up truck struck him and drove off. According to the Celina Police Department, Farmer suffered a serious head injury. Thanks to the video and a witness that described a unique design on the truck, the Celina Police Department arrested 70-year-old Harold Bashore. Bashore is currently in the Mercer County Jail on a hit-skip charge.
The Mercer County Prosecutor's Office will be reviewing the case for any additional charges.
