A newly-opened health center is ready to take care of the Bath Schools area.
The Bath Local School Health Center is housed in the school's community building, and a opening celebration was held Thursday morning. The center will focus on primary care for small ailments and injuries, at the convenience of the patients and the staff. Both walk-ins and scheduled appointments are welcome.
Mercy Health says that Bath was the perfect location to open their new location.
"Bath is a great school district; first of all, they were very welcoming to us just like Elida was, it gave us another location on the east side. Also, it's a very heavy traffic area, this area, and also knowing that Proctor and Gamble is nearby, there's a lot of industry and a lot of activity here at the school," said Ronda Lehman, Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Mercy Health Physicians.
The clinic is open to the public on Mondays 10:30 a.m. - 7 p.m., Thursdays 7 a.m. - 3:30 p.m., and Fridays 8 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
