New Stop Light at Wayne and Elizabeth Streets

With all the construction that is being done in downtown Lima, officials want to make sure motorists know of two changes that will change traffic patterns.

A new stop light has been installed at the intersection of Wayne and Elizabeth streets. The intersection was previously a two way stop sign and is now a flashing red light. This coming Monday, July 21st, the light will become fully functional.

Another big change you will notice when driving in downtown is a small section of North Elizabeth and North West Streets that were one way have now become two way. After the study officials believed that turning both roads between North and Wayne Streets into two-way traffic would be beneficial to traffic flow. Both sections are well marked and now have solid yellow lines and parallel parking on both sides.
