North Pole Express takes you on a magical train ride on a mini locomotive

Findlay has a magical Christmas wonderland that you can hop on the train and ride through. The Northwest Ohio Railroad Preservation lit up the train tracks with dozens of Christmas displays for their North Pole Express train rides. Families lined up to get a chance to ride the mini steam locomotive and rode around to gaze at the dazzling lights.

Steve Wilch, train conductor, and treasurer says this is a busy time for the place. "We’re an all-volunteer and non-profit organization and this is one of our biggest events of the year is to decorate up for Christmas and run our trains for Christmas time with a lot of Christmas lights. I mean, we have a half-mile of track that the trains go around and it’s completely decorated both sides all the way around with Christmas lights and so it's just to help get in the Christmas spirit."

After the train ride, families were invited into the Christmas tree barn where over 100 Christmas trees lit up the whole place. In the barn, people were completing the elf scavenger hunt where the grand prize is a golden ticket to ride the trains for free all of 2020. This event runs through January 5th every weekend, and admission is only four dollars for adults and three dollars for kids.
