LAKEVIEW, OH (WLIO) - One person was transported to the hospital after being rescued from the ice on Indian Lake over the past weekend.
ODNR spokesperson Andy Chow, says Saturday afternoon, natural resources officers responded to reports of a snowmobile going through the ice near Turkey Foot Island, on Indian Lake's north side. One person was pulled from the ice and taken to Mary Rutan Hospital in Bellefontaine for further evaluation. ODNR officials say people should be cautious around frozen bodies of water, and to remember that no ice is 100% safe.
