Ohio Democratic Party takes a stand

While it may have been a small turn out, the Ohio Democratic party had a strong message.

Lima City Council member Carla Thompson and Ohio Democratic Party Chairman David Pepper braced the elements to gather outside of St. Rita's Medical Center. They demanded Mike DeWine answer questions about his plans when it comes to Medicaid expansion.

"We're committed to continuing with that. Mary Taylor on the Republican side has said she'll end it and Mike DeWine will not answer the question, so we want to make sure that as he campaigns around the state with a month left in the primary, that he stops ducking and that he actually comes through with his opinion on this really important issue."

The Ohio primary election will take place on May 8th and will determine which candidate will earn the right to run in the state's general election, in November.
