Many high school students do more than just attend their classes. They add in extracurricular activities and many throw a job in there as well. Ohio Means Jobs Allen County wants to recognize these students for their hard work and the foresight to think about a career after graduation. Ohio Means Jobs has 8 job coaches at all 14 Allen County high schools, and Ohio Means Jobs will be selecting a student employee each month for the recognition.

"Kids who are already on a career pathway. Working with a current employer getting those skills for when the graduate or go on to college is going to be invaluable for their resume. And just the fortitude it takes to be able to maintain your grades and also work hours at a job," said Joe Patton, executive director of Ohio Means Jobs Allen County.
