Ohio SPCA hosts pet photos with Santa

The Ohio SPCA invited out Lima's furry little friends for an opportunity to get their photo with Santa "Paws".

The shelter hosted a holiday picture event to help raise money for supplies and care for the unreported animals. Pets both big and small took turns wagging for the camera for a holiday memory their owners will have forever.

It also helps the unadopted animals get some exposure and maybe even a chance at a forever home.

"It's a great way to get the animals that we're helping here exposure in the community," said SPCA director Noah Turner. "It's a great way to get the community involved in the shelter, having them come out, and we're raising funds and they're going to a good cause."

The shelter is hoping to raise $2,000 to help cover the cost of supplies as well as care for neglected and abused animals they take in.

There will be another opportunity to help out those animals later this month as the shelter hosts a stocking stuffer event. Look out for that information on their website www.ohioSPCA.org.
