An anonymous call on May 4th led authorities to a Lima residence in regard to a large number of dogs that weren’t being cared for. The SPCA found 9 adult German Shepherds and 13 puppies in cages. The owner of the animals was contacted, and they cooperated and did surrender the dogs.

Jason Asaro – Shelter Director explains, “We basically got the call and when we went there, we could see that these animals were not being well taken care of. We’ve determined since then that there was nobody there to take care of the animals. They were not well socialized. They were very scared. And very, very dirty conditions.”

The animals are currently in quarantine and will be treated for any conditions they may have and that will take money. If you would like to make a donation go to ohiospca.org and click on donate. The dogs should be ready for adoption in a month or so.
