COLUMBUS, Ohio (WLIO) – Ohio lawmakers are asking residents to submit input on proposed congressional districts as the legislature prepares to redraw the state’s congressional maps.
The submitted plans must include a visual representation of all 15 districts in Ohio.
The Ohio House and Senate have until the end of September to approve new congressional maps with a three-fifths bipartisan majority. If at least half of Republicans and Democrats agree on a map, the Ohio Redistricting Commission must adopt a plan by Oct. 31. The commission is made up of five Republicans and two Democrats.
