One person is in the hospital after an accident on State Route 30 in Allen County this afternoon.
Ohio State Highway Patrol Sergeant Michael Jordan says an RV hit a second vehicle that failed to yield to oncoming traffic on U.S. 30 and Watkins Road around 1:40 this afternoon.
The female driver of the second vehicle was extricated from her car and taken to St. Rita's Medical Center where her condition is unknown. There were children in the RV but the occupants did not require additional medical assistance.
Sergeant Jordan says there could be minor traffic violations involved in the accident. "From what we can figure out right now there were two vehicles in the middle, one vehicle turned westbound on U.S. 30, the second vehicle failed to yield to oncoming traffic and tried to cross U.S. 30 and was struck by an RV," said Sergeant Jordan.
The accident is still under investigation.
