LIMA, OH (WLIO) - This Saturday and Sunday, the Lima Symphony Orchestra will be performing their "Organ by Candlelight."

The candlelit atmosphere and classical music paired with the organ make for a lovely evening that can help you escape to a simpler time.
There will be one show on Saturday evening in Lima and one show on Sunday afternoon in Minster. The candlelit atmosphere and classical music paired with the organ make for a lovely evening that can help you escape to a simpler time when candlelight and classical music were the night's entertainment.
We caught up with music director Andrew Crust on Thursday to see what's in store for the concerts this weekend and the difference between venues like the civic center and these two historic churches.

"Well, these churches, they're beautiful visually, but they're also beautiful acoustically. I think that was part of the design. A lot of these churches come from designs that are hundreds of years old, and they were actually designed around music and choirs and especially organs. It's a space which is very reverberated and resonant, and yet it's not 1700 seats like the Civic Center, so it's intimate. The candles all around the concert hall and stage just add something really special and intimate," said Andrew Crust, music director and conductor for the Lima Symphony Orchestra.
