LIMA, OH (WLIO) - Members of the community got to know some new faces at Ohio State Lima.
The campus held an open Mix and Mingle to introduce two new big hires this year to the Ohio State Lima community and stakeholders. Dr. Margaret Young was hired this summer as the new dean and director, and Kayla Zehery also joins the faculty as the new Director of Development. The event was casual, a time to enjoy some free food as the two made their way around the room and let everyone get to know them.
"I think what drew me to the position was the fact that I could make a difference here. I mean, I've been here since 2010, and I absolutely love the people, and I love the mission of Ohio State Lima, and I was really passionate about really continuing on and bringing us into the 21st century," Dr. Young said.
The event was casual, a time to enjoy some free food as the two made their way around the room and let everyone get to know them.
"I'm an alum of Ohio State Lima, and I'm excited to be back on campus. There's so many innovative things happening here, and I'm excited to be a part of that and support it any way that I can," added Zehery.
Ohio State Lima also invites local K-8 students to STEAM on the Quad on September 29th. The event is free, and you can register at the link here.
