CNBC has ranked the top 75 most valuable college athletic programs, and they say the Buckeyes are worth a little over $1.32 billion. There were a lot of factors that go into determining the worth of a school's overall athletics program. Ohio State Athletics had $280 million in revenue in 2023, and boosters donated nearly $60 million to the program, along with attendance at sporting events and fan base. Texas, Texas A&M, Michigan, and Alabama round out the top five. The list is dominated by Big Ten and SEC teams because of the large TV contracts each conference has. The only other Ohio school to make the list is the University of Cincinnati at number 69, which is valued at $216 million.Â
