BLUFFTON, Ohio (WLIO) — Ottawa-Glandorf remained undefeated to start the 2025–26 boys basketball season, using a strong defensive effort and timely scoring to secure a 40–30 road win over Bluffton on Friday night.
The Titans opened the second half with momentum as Brody Fortman banked in a runner to extend the O-G lead to 25–18. Moments later, junior guard Jordan Schumaker turned defense into offense, jumping a passing lane and taking it coast to coast to push the advantage to 32–18.
Bluffton battled back behind Brody Donley, who picked off a pass and finished the other way to stop a 9–0 Titans surge. The Pirates continued to chip away as Chase Kelly drilled a deep three, cutting the deficit to seven with just under seven minutes remaining.
But when the Pirates threatened late, Schumaker came through again. With under two minutes to go, he recorded another steal and raced to the rim to seal the victory. Schumaker led all scorers with 14 points.
Ottawa-Glandorf improves to 3–0 on the season, while Bluffton drops to 0–2 but showed fight with a strong fourth-quarter rally.
O-G returns to action later this week looking to stay unbeaten, while the Pirates aim to pick up their first win of the season.
