The Allen County Sheriff's Office gave people the chance to show just how tough they are.
The office held their first-ever Band of Mudders Race at the Allen County Fairgrounds Saturday morning. Over 160 participated, either as a team or individually on the two-mile course, and it was filled with 12 different obstacles, including a hay mountain, tunnels, and getting across Roschman Pond either by rope or in the water.
The event is a fundraiser for the sheriff's office to raise some money for the SWAT team, K-9 unit, and dive team to help them purchase items that they may need outside of their budget. Sheriff Matt Treglia's team had the fastest time this year, and organizers are looking at bringing the event back with some changes next year.
